Boiler Servicing is exactly like servicing a car and we recommend you do this before winter sets in at the end of the year not only to give you piece of mind throughout the winter months but also this is a very busy time of year for us and servicing takes a back burner with emergency repairs over taking our main work flow.

We can service many types of boilers, including open vent, condensing boilers, non-condensing boilers & combination boiler (combi boilers)

Major boiler faults can often develop from minor faults, an annual service will increase the chance that these minor faults are picked up on and fixed before they become a bigger problem, saving you money and hassle in the future.

A well-serviced boiler is an efficient boiler, in the long run, helping to reduce energy bills, will make sure that your boiler is running as efficiently as possible.

Safety First

Boilers that aren’t properly installed, maintained or ventilated can produce carbon monoxide.

Symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning include headaches, nausea, drowsiness, breathlessness and stomach pains.

Signs are hard to spot and can be confused with tiredness or a cold.

If you are suffering from any of these symptoms get your boiler checked right away, a simple carbon monoxide detector and give peace of mind and also save lives and can be picked up relatively cheap from retailers like Screwfix, Homebase and B&Q

Landlords and Warranty

If you’re a landlord, you have a legal responsibility to ensure that each of your properties has a current Gas Safety Certificate.

Only Gas Safe Register approved engineers are qualified to perform this gas safety check and issue a CP12 Inspection Certificate.

Appliances should be serviced yearly in accordance with manufacturer ’s instructions, servicing your gas appliances regularly will make sure they are safe to use, it will also maintain the efficiency and performance of your appliances.

For a warranty to be valid you have to have your boiler serviced once a year if you do not have a boiler serviced yearly your warranty will become void and could lead to a larger bill in the long run if a major fault occurs.

What We Check For

  • Carry out gas tightness test
  • Check for adequate ventilation
  • Test the flue for the satisfactory removal of combustion products
  • Carry out spillage test
  • Check flue termination Check that all safety devices are working correctly
  • Check the flame failure devices
  • Check the heat exchangers, combustion fan, casing, seals and circulating pump
  • Check all visible pipe work and heating controls
  • Clean the Boilers condensate
  • Check CO/CO2 ratios
  • Check for any signs of unsafe operation
  • Test gas rate and pressure of burner
  • Perform any other gas safety check as required by manufacturers instructions
